Rolf Ziegler
Rolf Ziegler, born in Belp near Bern in 1955, placed people at the centre of his art, often more as an aura than as a concrete figure. Through abstraction he found a unique style that gives the impression of collage, although he only uses painterly techniques. His works challenge the viewer to look closely and not be blinded by outward appearances. Ziegler, a self-taught artist, exhibited in cities such as Zurich and New York and left a remarkable artistic legacy in 2010.
