Angelino Balistreri, born in Sardinia in 1922, discovered his passion for art early on and worked on church paintings at a young age. After the Second World War, he devoted himself to painting and found inspiration in the landscapes of Italy, religious symbols and his travels to North Africa and the Middle East. His works are characterized by intense colors and exotic influences. After decades of artistic development and international exhibitions, he remained active well into old age.
