Rolf Ziegler

Rolf Ziegler always focuses on people. However, it hardly ever appears directly in the work, but in different transformations: more aura than appearance. Main focus of his work: pictures, sculptures, objects and art in the building. With abstraction, the artist has found himself, his unmistakable style. It is typical for him that most of the works look like collages, even assemblages, but this material effect is achieved with painterly means. With such sophisticated trompe-l'oeil effects, the autodidact Rolf Ziegler naturally also demonstrates his sovereign mastery of the craft, which he has developed himself. But there is more to it than that. They are also an invitation to take a close and patient look, which is not satisfied with the first fleeting moment. Art calls for a different concept of time and encourages you to get to the bottom of reality instead of just being blinded by the beautiful appearance.
